The China-based AI-powered robotic lawn mower brand faced fierce competition and sought to differentiate itself, particularly in the Western market. The challenge was to make the brand more approachable and relatable, while addressing growing concerns about AI and technology in family environments.

American lawn culture, rooted in the 1950s ideal of family values and suburban life, represents a deeply ingrained societal status symbol. By connecting the product to this cultural narrative, the brand could position itself as a friendly, family-oriented solution, rather than a cold, technical device.

I developed a brand strategy and visual identity inspired by 1950s family aesthetics, merging retro Americana with cutting-edge technology. This created a narrative that spoke to family care, social status, and modern convenience, making the product feel less like a tech gadget and more like a trusted household tool.
