I was presented with a thrilling challenge by The Carbon Games— to design captivating Scrollytelling narratives for their new Event Carpool App.
A groundbreaking innovation, the app combines cutting-edge technology with the appeal of gaming, aiming to spark a revolution in sustainable transportation.
TLDR;
My task was multi-layered. First, I needed to conceptualize and develop captivating Scrollytelling narratives for the Event Carpool App, then provide additional non-Scrollytelling ideas to bolster their overall branding and communication.
Through a creative blend of storytelling, visual design, and brand positioning, I formulated strategies that resonated with The Carbon Games' core values and vision.
I Developed 3 Creative Approaches.
I proposed three dynamic Scrollytelling ideas: "The Long Zoom," "The Iceberg Metaphor," and "The Star Wars Scroll."
Each concept was designed to convey the ethos of the Event Carpool App engagingly and innovatively.
I CONSULTED ON LOGO AND DESIGN.
In addition to the Scrollytelling ideas, I offered comprehensive consultations for the adaptation of their Carbon Ring logo and for their graphic design approach. My suggestions were aimed at better representing the brand's position and their suite of diverse services.
Additionally, I proposed a bright, 'neon' aesthetic in their graphic designs, with a 'clay-mation' or hand-drawn style to give The Carbon Games a recognizable yet appealing identity.
I REFINED THE CHOSEN APPROACH.
After the client selected the 2nd Scrollytelling approach, "The Iceberg Metaphor," I further refined it.
This involved developing a fully-scripted outline of the Scrollytelling website, providing guidance and visual direction throughout its development, ensuring a coherent and impactful narrative.
I DESIGNED CONCEPTUAL STORYBOARDS.
To bring each Scrollytelling idea to life, I created detailed conceptual visual storyboards.
Every storyboard was meticulously scripted, illustrating a vivid and clear direction for the visual realization of each Scrollytelling idea.
I CRAFTED A BRAND POSITIONING MAP.
To accentuate The Carbon Games' unique position in the sustainable transportation space, I devised a concise brand positioning map. Plotted on a 'Social to Singular' and 'General Purpose to Niche Purpose' axis, this map allowed us to define and articulate the brand's distinct qualities: its community-focused, game-driven approach towards a niche purpose - sustainable transportation.
This map served as a compass guiding the creative journey, helping The Carbon Games stand out amidst the competition.
I CRAFTED A PERSUASIVE SALES PITCH.
Finally, I collaborated with the client to draft a compelling sales pitch that perfectly encapsulated the brand's unique positioning.
This pitch was carefully designed to convey The Carbon Games as a solution-oriented partner for businesses looking to tackle climate change, positioning their Corporate Carpooling service as a simple yet effective way to achieve sustainability goals.
